Maria Madini Moretti
Si è diplomata in pianoforte presso il Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano, sua città natale. Ha svolto intensa attività concertistica sia come solista, sia in varie formazioni cameristiche ed in particola¬re nella formazione del duo pianistico, tenendo recitals e concerti con orchestra nelle principali città italiane e in vari Pa¬esi europei, anche con prime esecuzioni e partecipando a Festivals Internazionali (Parigi, Berlino, Kassel, Zurigo). Ha ef¬fettuato registrazioni per la Radiotelevi¬sione Italiana, Radiodiffusione Francese, Radio Svizzera di Zurigo e Monteceneri e per la Radio di San Francisco. Ha inciso per la Serenus Corporation di New York e per l’etichetta Lira Records (M.A.P.) di Milano. Da alcuni anni suona in duo con le pianiste Ada Mauri e Sumiko Hojo. Ha fondato il gruppo “Linea Ensemble” di cui fa parte e con il quale si dedica parti¬colarmente alla ricerca e all’esecuzione di musiche del ‘900.
Già docente di pianoforte principale pres¬so il Conservatorio “G.Verdi” di Milano, tiene regolarmente i Corsi Internazionali di Perfezionamento “Tullio Macoggi”per pianoforte e duo pianistico a Villa Mona¬stero di Varenna.
   


















She graduated in piano at the Academy of Music “G.Verdi” of Milan, in her hometown. She performed an intense concertistic activity as a soloist and also as member of various groups of cham¬ber music expecially in piano duo, per¬forming recitals and concerts with the Orchestra in the main Italy cities, and va¬rious European countries, even with first performances at International Festivals (Paris, Berlin, Kassel, Zürich).
She recorded for the Italian Radiotele¬vision, the French Radiotelevision, the Switzerland Radio Zürich from and Monteceneri and for the San Francisco Radio.
She recorded for the Serenus Corpora¬tion of New York and for the Lira Records Label (M.A.P.) of Milan. Since some years she performances as duo with the pianist Ada Mauri and Sumiko Hojo.
She established the Group “Linea Ensem¬ble”, group she is part of, with special attention to ‘900 Muisic research and performing.
Already teacher at the Academy of Music “G.Verdi” from Milan, she is coordinator and teacher of “Tulio Macaggi” Inter¬national Improvement Master Classes for piano and piano duo at Villa Mona¬stero, Varenna (LC).



Ada Mauri

























Nata a Milano ha studiato con Anita Porrini (allieva prediletta di Arturo Be¬nedetti Michelangeli) diplomandosi a pieni voti nel Conservatorio della sua città. In seguito si è perfezionata con Alberto Mozzati e con Kurt Neumüller diplomandosi anche alla Hochschule für Musik di Salisburgo. Ha inoltre seguito corsi di clavicembalo con Emilia Fadini e di composizione con Bruno Bettinelli.
Premiata in vari concorsi internazionali ha svolto intensa attività cameristica e di¬dattica (titolare di pianoforte principale al Conservatorio “G. Nicolini” di Piacen¬za dal ’71 al ’77).
Dal ’77 è stata pianista titolare dell’Or¬chestra e della Filarmonica della Scala; ruolo che l’ha vista impegnata in Italia e all’estero sotto la guida dei più gran¬di maestri del nostro tempo (Abbado, Bernstein, Ceccato, Chailly, Kleiber, Maazel, Muti, Prêtre, Osawa, Sawallisch). Di notevole rilievo Petruska e Sinfonia di Salmi di Strawinsky sotto la direzione di L. Bernstein e le arie mozartiane con M. Price, direttore C. Abbado.
Come solista ha suonato più volte nell’ambito di produzioni particolari per il Teatro ed ha collaborato con impor¬tanti strumentisti e cantanti fra i quali M. Price, B. Cavallo, G. Davy, M. Fer¬rando, C. Gayer, G. Tirincanti realiz¬zando anche registrazioni discografiche, radiofoniche e televisive. Fa parte del Gruppo “Linea Ensemble”.
Tiene corsi di formazione professionale presso l’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala.
   


























Born in Milan, she studied with Anita Porrini (the favourite student of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli) and graduated in piano at the Conservatory “G. Verdi” of Milan with full marks. Later on she perfected her instrumental skills with Alberto Mozzati and with Kurt Neumüller gaining a diploma at the Hochschule für Musik of Salzburg.
She also attended harpsichord courses with Emilia Fadini and studied com¬position under the guidance of Burno Bettinelli.
A prize-winner in various international competitions, she carried out an intensive activity both as a chamber musician and as a teacher (she was regular professor of piano at the Academy of Music “G. Nicolini” in Piacenza from ‘71 till ‘77).
From ‘77 she has been the principal pianist in the La Scala Theatre Orchestra, in which capacity she has extensively toured Italy and the inernational concert arena with the greatest conductors (such as Abbado, Berstein, Ceccato, Chailly, Kleiber, Maazel, Muti, Prête, Osawa, Sawallisch, etc.).
In this respect worth mentioning are the performances of Petrushka and Symphony of Psalms by Strawinsky under the baton of L. Bernstein, not to mention a concert including a collection of Mozart arias fea¬turing M. Price and C. Abbado as protago¬nists. As a soloist she has often performed in neteworhty events flanking artists of the rank of M. Price, B. Cavallo, G. Davy, M. Ferrando, C. Gayer, G. Tirincanti; remar¬kable are also her discographical, radio and television achievements.
Ada Mauri is a member of the “Linea Ensemble” and teaches at the vocational courses organised.
